The Water Academy SRD (WASRD) is an international initiative whose mission is to create a New Culture of Water. Deeply conscious of the changes taking place, the Water Academy SRD seeks to raise awareness of issues relating to water, in line with the values of Sustainable and Responsible Development.
The Water Academy SRD, which operates on an international level, has joined major universities and research centers in the field of higher education through a specific and innovative Masters degree to teach a new generation of students an holistic way of approaching, managing, protecting and conserving water.
Nearly 2 billion people lack access to drinking water, and more than double that number lack satisfactory sanitation. In the face of these major challenges, the Water Academy SRD seeks to raise awareness of issues relating to water, in line with the values of Sustainable and Responsible Development. Designed as an innovative knowledge hub, the Water Academy SRD acts as a platform to bring together the different parties interested in the global water crisis: the scientific community, international bodies, major companies, students, philanthropists.
The Masters degree Water Awareness, Consciousness Knowledge and Management, created in 2017, approaches water issues in a holistic way, from different perspectives - global warming, soil pollution, overpopulation, and in an interdisciplinary way, touching on economics, law, ecology, sustainable development, geopolitics... It has been designed for future professionals in the private sector, public administration, diplomacy, international organizations, NGOs, etc.
